  The fruit is small, round and blackish purple. It looks like a grape, but smaller and darker. It has a big seed and very little pulp. Acai is widely used in energy drinks, ice cream, energy bars with granola, and mainly in Brazil the pulp is taken straight or used in juices.

  Ok, so for a start, Oprah has decided she wants nothing to do with Acai Berry anymore. There was an announcement on her website that she did not want her name associated with acai berry, or she would pursue legal action.

  The reason for Oprah’s reaction is not because of the Acai Berry being a scam, but the marketing that some companies are using. These companies are using Oprah’s name and she has had enough of it.

  As far as their being an “official site” – there is no official site. Acai is the name of the raw fruit which is usually freeze-dried in Brazil, turned into capsules and branded into names such as acaiburn, acai power, acai select….the list goes on.

  I have been using a great product that has the Acai Berry in it.. But it is not a pill so I am not sure if you would want it. The product I use is MonaVie and I LOVE IT!!!! I order my juice directly from a monavie website it allows you to order in bulk or order one bottle of juice at a time.. I have to say it taste wonderful. I drink the Original its the purple bottle I pay approx 39.00 for the product..
